Upon graduation, Danny moved to Oregon then Los Angeles where he worked as a studio drummer for the Pigmy Love Circus.
• Danny met guitarist Adam Jones and American singer Maynard James Keenan who helped him land in the rock-band Tool.
• Carey is renowned for using his signature drumstick by Vic Firth. Furthermore, he is popular for sticking with Sonor drums, Evans Drumheads, Paiste cymbals, and Hammerax.
• Nevertheless, he worked with Paiste’s Signature drumset kit on different projects since its inception.
• Sonor released Carey’s signature snare drum in 2009 at Winter NAMM. Paiste also released Dry Heavy Ride – Monad in 2016. Alan Van Kleef developed the Monad drum-set for Carey in 2019.
• Besides Tool, Danny has worked on the projects Fusion band Volto!, Green Jellö, Pigface, and Pigmy Love Circus. He has also worked with Skinny Puppy on his album The Greater Wrong of the Right, Adrian Belew, Carole King, Collide, Lusk band among others.
